How it started…

So I guess this is where I tell you some stuff.

Well, I’ve been a painter my whole life. I come from six generations of them, four of which are still with us. Music became my true love very swiftly but like every intense relationship that begins at the tender age of 16 it’s gotten a little rocky after I rounded the bend on 30. After years of writer’s block that became so loud even sparrows were silenced in my presence I decided to take a break for the first time in six years. I crocheted many a scarf, read many books, cleaned house, cooked, played far too many video games, and then I started to draw. The drawings weren’t enough. I wanted to paint. The paintings were too flat, too pedestrian, too much like everyone else. I could see my talent being wasted by the normality of it. I went mad and painted with glue on glass. The madness subsided. My husband was enamored with my new light. He ran home on his lunch break on a cold rainy Tuesday to bring me a gallon of Elmer’s Glue All. My friend Trixie found a bunch of glass at The Mill where she works and another half gallon of glue. I’ve been busy ever since.
